Honestly, just stay where you are. Changing countries on Steam for cheaper games might sound smart, but it's a lot of hassle and kinda not cool. Plus, Valve is pretty strict with the rules, so it's not worth the risk.

Changing your Steam country isn't as easy as flipping a switch. You need to actually be in the country you wanna switch to, as Steam will check your IP and ask for a local payment method for verification. It鈥檚 to prevent any shenanigans with regional pricing.

So, you wanna take a little digital trip? Easy peasy. Head over to Steam and navigate to the 'Account Details' from the dropdown menu under your profile name. Then, look for 'Update Store Country.' Click that, and if you're in a new country, Steam should automatically detect this and prompt you to update your country and payment method. Just make sure you're actually in the country you're changing to because Steam checks that.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
