To switch gamemodes in Subnautica, just press F3 to open the debug menu, then press F8 to free the mouse and uncheck 'Disable Console'. Press Enter, type `gamemode [mode]` (like `gamemode survival` or `gamemode creative`), and hit Enter again! Boom, new gamemode!
