Start with y=mx+b. Move mx to the left to get -mx + y = b. Multiply by -1 if you want A positive. Done!

To convert from slope-intercept form (y=mx+b) to standard form (Ax+By=C), rearrange the equation to get x and y terms on one side and the constant on the other. Multiply everything by a common factor if necessary to make A, B, and C integers. Easy peasy!

As a math teacher, trust me: y=mx+b to Ax+By=C just means rearrange and clean up. Move mx to one side with y, and you've got it!

Honestly, just algebra: y=mx+b, subtract mx from both sides, and you're golden.
