Head to the Epic Games website, log in, and go to your Account settings. Change your display name there, and it will reflect on your PS4.

You can't change your Fortnite username directly on the PS4. You need to do it through the Epic Games website by editing your display name.

From experience, the easiest way is to log into epicgames.com on a web browser. Account settings have a Display Name field鈥攃hange it, and you're good to go.
