Unfortunately, you can't change your character's skin color once you've started the game. But you can restart the game and choose a different skin color then!

I had the same problem, but ended up just creating a new account to change it. Fresh start, fresh ink, right?

You can't change the skin color of your Inkling or Octoling once the game has started. If it really bothers you, you have to create a new profile and start over.
