Personal experience here, I wanted a fresh start and changed my name using a True Reset. It's like starting the game all over again, but with a new identity!
You can't change your name mid-game after a regular reset. Only a True Reset lets you pick a new name.
Gotta go with a True Reset if you want a new name, simple as that!
Just do a True Reset. Easy peasy.
