First, unplug your PS3 and use a soft cloth to wipe down the exterior. For the vents, gently use a can of compressed air to blow out accumulated dust. Don't forget to clean your controllers too—they can get pretty grimy!

Take a microfiber cloth to the body and compressed air for the vents. Same method works like a charm for my PS3 for years.
