First, power down and unplug your PS3. Use a can of compressed air to blow out the dust from the vents. If you're feeling adventurous, open up the top cover carefully and use a small brush or more compressed air to get to the internals. Be gentle and mind the electronics!

Unplug your PS3 and give the exterior a good wipe with a microfiber cloth. For the vents, grab a can of compressed air and blow the dust out. Works like a charm without needing open-heart surgery on your console.

Stick a vacuum cleaner hose near the vents and suck out the dust. Not as thorough, but it works in a pinch.

I had to clean my friend's PS3 once. We opened it up (after unplugging, of course) and used compressed air to clean the insides. Just don't touch any of the components directly!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
