Using an axe is the way to go for smaller bushes. But, if you're talking about those larger, unchoppable bushes that are part of the landscape, you're outta luck. Can't touch those.
To clear bushes in Stardew Valley, you'll need to use your axe. Just walk up to the bush you want to clear, and with your axe equipped, click on the bush to start chopping. Some bushes might take a few more hits, but they'll eventually break down and disappear.
