Real talk: just use 'Activity Log' under settings. It has everything you need to clear your search history.
On mobile, tap the three horizontal lines (menu), go to 'Settings & Privacy,' then 'Settings.' Under 'Your Facebook Information,' tap 'Access Your Information' and find 'Search History' to delete it.
