First things first, DO NOT kill anyone! You need to spare every monster you encounter. Be kind and make friends!
After beating Asgore, go back and visit Alphys. You'll need to complete her True Lab to unlock the final boss and the best ending.
Start with a Neutral run, then replay to get the Pacifist ending. It's a necessary step!
You'll want to focus on ACTing and talking during battles to understand the monsters. Once you've made them non-hostile, spare them!
