Don't forget to check if your game supports keyboard and mouse input. Not all PS4 games do, but many of them are getting there!
Honestly, just stick to the controller. It's what the PS4 was made for and you get the full experience.
If you prefer wireless, you can use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Go into the PS4 settings, navigate to 'Devices', and then 'Bluetooth Devices', and follow the pairing instructions.
