Just get a USB cable, any micro-USB or USB-C (depends on your controller model) should work. Plug and play, really. Simple!

Here's how I do it: For a wireless connection, I turn on my controller, press the Xbox button, then hold the sync button until it blinks. I go to my PC settings, hit 'Devices', 'Bluetooth & other devices', and select 'Add Bluetooth or other device'. Choose 'Bluetooth', select 'Xbox Wireless Controller', and it’s game on!
