Sadly, you can't connect a Kinect to an Xbox 360 without an adapter if you're using the Kinect sensor designed for the Xbox One. For the original Xbox 360 Kinect sensor, just plug it into the dedicated port on the back of the console.
Trust me, I tried every trick in the book. The original Xbox 360 Kinect doesn’t need an adapter. But if you’ve got a newer sensor, you’re outta luck without the adapter.
Just plug the Kinect sensor into the port on the back of the 360 console. No extra adapters needed!
