You need to perfectly line up your vehicle with your trailer. It can be a bit fiddly, but once aligned, make sure the hitch snaps into place. Took me a couple of tries my first time!

Make sure to park your car close to the trailer. Then, use the 'B' button if you're on PC to connect them. Works like a charm!
