Turn off your Xbox 360, place the hard drive in the hard drive bay, and press firmly until it clicks. Power up and game on!
Literally just align and click it into place. Can't get more straightforward than that!
From my experience, you just power off the Xbox, align the hard drive with the side slot, and press until it clicks. Restart, and you'll see it in the storage settings.
