I main King and trust me, you need to stay on your toes. Try to sidestep or keep your distance to avoid his grab range. When he gets too close, be ready to mash those throw break buttons (generally 1+2).
Timed button presses are your best friend against King! Pay close attention to the animations and break the grabs with the correct button combos.
