Crafting black dye in Terraria is all about squishing some bugs - specifically, you need to find and catch a Black Lens. These little guys drop from Demon Eyes, those pesky flying eyeballs that come out at night. Once you've got yourself a Black Lens, just head over to a Dye Vat, and voila, black dye is yours! The night hunt is worth it, trust me.

Simple: catch a Black Lens from Demon Eyes and use a Dye Vat. No hassle, pure style.

I gotta say, most people don't bother with black dye, but man, when you see your character decked out in it, it's so cool. Catching those Black Lenses can be a pain, but it's totally worth it. Made my knight look like something straight out of a dark fantasy!
