I created a 'channel' by making a broadcast list. It's perfect for sending updates without the chaos of group chats. Just go to Chats > New Broadcast, select contacts, and you're good to go!
Can't create an actual 'channel' on WhatsApp, but groups and broadcasts do the trick!
