To crossplay in State of Decay 2, make sure you're playing on Xbox or Windows 10 PC, and then simply invite your friends across platforms. Just add them via their Xbox Live gamertag, and you're good to go!
Crossplay works automatically between Xbox and Windows 10, so just invite your Xbox friends using their gamertag.
Your friends need to be on Xbox Live for this to work, even if they're on PC.
From experience, all you need is to add your friends through Xbox Live, and it works like a charm even if they're on a different platform!
