How to Deactivate Account on Instagram
To deactivate your Instagram account temporarily, visit Instagram.com on a browser (it's not available in the app), log in, and go to your profile. Click 'Edit Profile' and find the option 'Temporarily disable my account' at the bottom. Easy peasy!

I recently did this myself! Just log into Instagram on your web browser, click 'Edit Profile', and you'll find 'Temporarily disable my account' at the bottom of the page. Worked like a charm!
