TBH, you can't totally get rid of Facebook ads, but tweaking the ad settings can make them less annoying.
Go to Facebook's Ad Preferences, then click 'Your Ad Preferences' and set your preferences to limit targeted ads. You can't completely deactivate ads, but you can minimize them.
From my experience, adjusting your ad preferences in the settings can significantly reduce unwanted ads popping up in your feed!
