Geno can be tricky, but characters with good counter moves like Marth or Palutena can turn his attacks against him.
From my experience, fast and agile characters like Sonic or Pikachu can dodge Geno's attacks and strike back quickly. Keep moving!
Honestly, just spam projectiles. Geno has a hard time dealing with ranged attacks.
Pick a character with a good aerial game. Geno's ground moves are strong, but he struggles against aerial pressure.
