To delete your Skype account, you need to close your Microsoft account. Go to the Microsoft account closure page, sign in, and follow the prompts. Just remember this will also close other Microsoft services linked to that account!

I've done this! You close your Microsoft account, and after 60 days it permanently deletes. Just visit the Microsoft account closure page and follow the steps. You're welcome!
Heads up: deleting a Skype account means saying goodbye to your Microsoft account, too. Think about it before you pull the plug.
