You can't really delete ads on Facebook, but you can hide specific ones and adjust your ad preferences to see less of certain types.
I've been doing this for years! Just hide ads you don't like and update your ad preferences to get more relevant ones. Works like a charm!
Spoiler alert: You can't actually delete ads completely, but you can mute them by marking them as irrelevant!
