Unfortunately, you can't delete a direct message (DM) on Discord from the other user's chat window, but you can clear it from your own! Just right-click the conversation on the left sidebar and hit 'Close DM.' Voilà, it's gone from your view!

You can't delete Discord DMs from the recipient's chat. To remove it from your side, simply close the conversation. Magic!

From my experience, the only way to 'delete' a DM on Discord is to close the conversation from your side. Right-click the chat and hit 'Close DM.' Problem solved, at least for you!

Trust me, I've tried. You can't permanently delete Discord DMs from both sides, but you can close the DM on your end. Right-click the convo and select 'Close DM.'
