Unfriend that person by visiting their page and choosing 'Unfriend' in the dropdown next to their name.
On their profile, hit the 'Friends' dropdown and just select 'Unfriend'. Done!
Can't delete a person on Facebook, but you can unfriend them from their profile. Good luck!
