How to Deregister from Facebook
I've done this myself. First, backup your data if you want to keep anything. Then head to Settings > Your Facebook Information > Deactivation and Deletion > Delete Account. Done and done.

Super easy! Just go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Your Facebook Information > Deactivation and Deletion. Choose 'Delete Account,' follow the steps, and poof, you're free!
