If you’re posting something new, you can disable comments before you even share it! Just go to 'Advanced Settings' and toggle off commenting there.
I've done this a bunch of times. While uploading a picture, look for 'Advanced Settings,' usually down at the bottom of the screen. There you can disable comments before posting.
