To perform a cover change in Dragon Ball Legends, you just need to switch in a character during an enemy's combo. Timing is key! Tap the character icon of the fighter you want to switch in when your current fighter is being attacked.
From personal experience, switching in Vegeta or Goku at the right moment not only saves your current fighter but can also turn the tide of battle!
Hit that character switch button when the enemy gets all punchy-punchy with your current fighter. Cover change done!
