For local multiplayer in Animal Crossing, you'll need two things: a second controller and a friend! Make sure both your Nintendo Switch system and the game copy of Animal Crossing are ready. Then, on the game's main screen, one player must open their island for visitors and the second player can join in by selecting 'Local Play' from the airport. Just follow the in-game instructions, and you'll be playing together in no time!

Actually, there's a bit more to it. Each player needs their own user profile on the same Nintendo Switch console. Then, when you start Animal Crossing, the second player can join by shaking the second controller and pressing the L + R buttons. Remember, you're sharing the screen, so no wandering off too far from each other!

Bro, it's super easy. Just grab an extra controller, have your friend come over, and follow the prompts on your Switch. Can't miss it.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
