Playing with a friend in Animal Crossing is super easy and fun! If you're on the same console, one of you just needs to shake the second controller to join as a visitor. The first time you do it, follow the on-screen prompts to invite them into your game. If you're playing online or locally with separate consoles, the island host has to head to the airport and open their gate for visitors. Then, your friend flies over by talking to Orville at their airport and selecting 'I wanna fly!' Choose to visit 'a friend,' and you're all set for a playdate!

Just shake the other controller, lol. It's that easy.

Honestly, multiplayer is where it's at in Animal Crossing. My sister and I play on the same console and it's chaos in the best way. Shaking the second controller to jump in was a game-changer. We take turns deciding what to do on the island, and it's a blast. Definitely give it a try if you haven't!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
