Just open your inventory, click the item you wanna drop, and it should let you drag it out. Easy peasy!
You can't drop items while inside a base or vehicle. Go outside, open inventory, and right-click the item. Simple as that!
Step outside your Seamoth or base, hit 'Tab,' and right-click on the item. Boom, dropped!
In my experience, you need to be outside your base or vehicle to drop items. Just open your inventory and right-click!
