How to dye clothes in Terraria
Dyeing clothes in Terraria is pretty straightforward and a cool way to customize your look! First, you gotta find or make some dye. You can get dye by trading with the Dye Trader NPC who shows up once you have a dye item in your inventory or by crafting it at a Dye Vat with plants and other materials found around the world. Once you have your dye, just open your inventory, select the dye, and place it in one of the dye slots next to your armor or equipment slots. Bam! You're now rocking some stylish colored gear.

Just slap that dye right next to your armor in the inventory. If you don't have dye, go find the Dye Trader NPC. Easy peasy.
Personally, I think dyeing clothes is a waste of time. Better spend that effort on upgrading gear!
