Go to the options menu, find the settings, and make sure 'Presentation' settings are set to 'Full' or 'On'. Enjoy the intros!

First-hand experience here! Make sure your game difficulty isn't set to 'Rookie'. Some intro scenes only appear on higher difficulty settings.
