Surround the city with multiple armies. Make sure to cover all entrances to prevent reinforcements and supplies from reaching the city. Starvation is your friend!

To encircle a city in Total War: Attila, position your armies around the city to cut off all routes in and out. It's like giving the enemy a big, unwanted hug!

Move your army close enough to initiate a siege, then use the encampment stance to build siege equipment. Patience and attrition will do the rest.

From personal experience, it's all about positioning. Place your armies strategically around the city for maximum chokehold effect. They'll have nowhere to run!

You don't need to encircle it! Just storm the walls with siege towers and battering rams. More dramatic and fun in my opinion.
