If you want to end the fight peacefully with Muffet, make sure to bring along a Spider Donut or a Spider Cider from the Ruins. Show it to her during the battle, and she’ll realize you’re a supporter of spiders, calling off the attack!

I showed Muffet a Spider Donut I bought early in the game, and she immediately called off the fight. Easiest boss ever!
Just buy a Spider Donut or Spider Cider from the bake sale in the ruins and use it during the fight with Muffet. She'll let you go!
