I evolved my Eevee by walking 10km with it as my buddy, then evolving it during the day for Espeon or at night for Umbreon.

Rename Eevee to 'Sakura' for Espeon or 'Tamao' for Umbreon. Works like a charm, but only once each!

To evolve an Eevee, just rename it to either 'Pyro,' 'Sparky,' or 'Rainer' to get Flareon, Jolteon, or Vaporeon respectively! Make sure you have 25 Eevee candies.
