Evolving in Pokemon TCG is pretty straightforward but epic when you pull it off in a battle. Here's the scoop: you gotta have the Basic Pokemon on the field first. That's your foundation. Then, if you've got the next stage of that Pokemon in your hand (like going from a Charmander to a Charmeleon), you play it on top of the Basic one during your turn. But remember, you can't evolve a Pokemon on the same turn you played it or on your first turn if you go first. Timing is everything!

Just slap the next evolution on top of the basic one, lol. Make sure it's your turn though.

Actually, evolving is overrated. Some of the strongest strategies focus on Basic Pokemon with powerful abilities or using EX/GX cards. Evolving takes time and can slow you down.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
