To find a Mooncalf in Hogwarts Legacy, you gotta wait for the right time and place. Mooncalves only come out during the night, specifically when the in-game weather is clear. One surefire spot to find them is in the Mooncalf Den, located in the grassy areas around Hogwarts. Remember, they're shy creatures, so approach them quietly!

Actually, mooncalves were easy to find. I stumbled upon a few just by roaming around at night. Just keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the scenery; you'll bump into them eventually.

Just a heads up, mooncalves are super cute but kinda picky. They only show up at night and when there's no nasty weather. Look for them in open fields, and don鈥檛 forget to sneak or you'll spook them!
