For carrots, you need carrot seeds found in the Black Forest. They look like little blue flowers. Gather them, plant them, and soon you'll be farming like a true Viking!
In my experience, carrot seeds are hiding in the Black Forest. Check near ancient ruins and fallen logs. Happy hunting!
