You can check your Activity Log to see if you can find interactions with your old friend. Go to your profile, click on the three dots, select Activity Log, and then filter by 'Friends'.
Try searching for their name in the Facebook search bar. If you remember mutual friends, check their friend lists to see if they鈥檙e still connected.
