Equip the wishbone and head to the mountains. The wishbone will glow green and ping more frequently the closer you are to silver. It's pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it.

Put on some frost resistance mead, equip the wishbone, and head to the mountains. The wishbone makes a pinging sound when you're close to silver deposits. Dig wherever the pings get strongest!

Just equip the wishbone and head to the mountains! The wishbone will start pulsing and emitting a green glow when you're near silver. When the pulses get faster, start digging. Happy hunting!
