How to fix a disc drive on PS4
First, try rebooting your PS4. If that doesn't work, you might want to clean the disc and the drive using a soft cloth. If it's still not fixed, you could try rebuilding the database from Safe Mode. Just remember to back up your data!

I had the same issue! I ended up opening the PS4 and manually ejecting the disc. A bit of dusting in there did wonders. But if you're not comfortable doing this, professional repair might be the way to go.
Just buy a digital-only game and avoid the disc drive entirely. Seriously though, if none of the quick fixes work, a professional repair might be needed.
Sometimes, it鈥檚 as simple as updating the system software. Go to Settings > System Software Update. It fixed my issue once, easy peasy.
