Rebuild the database from Safe Mode. Turn off your PS4, then hold the power button until you hear a second beep, connect a controller via USB, and select 'Rebuild Database'.

Cleaning your PS4 might help too. Dust can cause overheating, which might lead to the blue light issue. Make sure to clean around the vents and fans.

First, try power cycling the PS4. Hold the power button for 7 seconds until it beeps twice, unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it back in and start it up.

Check the HDMI cable and port for any issues. Sometimes a loose connection can trigger the blue light of death. Try a different HDMI cable or port on your TV.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
