Fixing a Hot Wheels Rod Runner can be a unique challenge, but start by checking for any visible damage or broken parts. If the rubber bands that power the mechanism are worn out or snapped, replacing them with similar sized bands can bring it back to life. Also, a good cleaning can sometimes do wonders, especially if it's been gathering dust. Use a soft brush to gently remove debris from gears and moving parts.

Just slap some new rubber bands on there, maybe give it a clean, and it should be good as new. Sometimes, these old toys just need a little TLC!

Honestly, most times it's the rubber bands that give out. I replaced mine with bands from a local office supply store, and my Rod Runner was up and running in no time. It's an easy fix!
