How to Fix Strict NAT Type on Xbox One
CaringEthos路6 months agoFirst, try rebooting your router and Xbox One. If that doesn't work, go to Network Settings and test your network again. You might need to enable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) on your router to help with this. You can usually find it under the router's admin settings. If UPnP isn't doing the trick, consider setting up a static IP address for your Xbox and forwarding ports 88, 3074, and others listed on the Xbox support site.

One quick fix is to enable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) on your router. Head to your router settings and look for UPnP in the advanced setup. This usually helps with NAT issues on Xbox One!
Just put your Xbox in the DMZ on your router. It places your console outside the firewall and can solve your strict NAT problem. Just be aware it might have some security risks.
Simple solution: try power cycling your Xbox and router. Sometimes it just needs a fresh start!
I had the same issue and changing the NAT Type to 'Open' in the settings worked for me. Go to settings, then General, then Network settings and click on Test NAT type. If it still shows strict, you might need to restart your router.
