Honestly, just buy a new controller. Way less hassle.

You can use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry the controller apart. Once inside, check the bumper mechanism closely. It might just need to be realigned or re-secured. If it's actually broken, replace the bumper component, which you can find on eBay or Amazon.

I had this issue! Open the controller using a T8 screwdriver. Once inside, the bumper's usually a plastic piece that has popped out. Realign it to its seating, and put everything back together. Worked like a charm for me!

First, pop off the back cover using a prying tool, then unscrew all five screws (one under the label). Carefully lift the faceplate off, and then you can access the bumpers. Usually, realigning and re-securing them does the trick. If they're broken, replacement bumpers are pretty cheap online. Easy peasy!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
