Ah, the infamous Red Dot of Death! First, try powering off your console and unplugging it for a few minutes. If that doesn't work, you might need to check your power supply and cables. Sometimes, it’s just a loose connection!

Had that problem last year. I fixed it by taking my Xbox 360 apart, cleaning out the dust, and then reapplying thermal paste. Not for the faint-hearted but it worked like a charm!

Sell it and buy an Xbox Series X. Problem solved!

Red Dot of Death? Unplug everything, give it a good 10-minute rest, and then plug it back in. If that doesn't help, your next step is to ensure your power brick isn't blocked or overheated. You'd be surprised how often that solves the issue!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
