How to Fix Xbox One Disc Reader
Hey, had the same problem! Try power cycling your Xbox One: hold the power button for 10 seconds until it fully shuts down, then unplug it for a couple of minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. Solved my disc reading issue!

If your Xbox One still doesn't read discs after cleaning and power cycling, you might need to adjust the laser. Open the disc drive (YouTube has guides) and gently clean the laser eye with a microfiber cloth. If you're not comfortable with this, consider professional repair.
Clean the disc! Sounds basic, but a lot of the time it's just some schmootz on the surface. Use a soft cloth, wipe from the center outwards.
Just download all your games digitally. Problem solved.
